ABOUT US

Tucked away on the scenic outskirts of Cartmel village in Cumbria, Aynsome Manor is a five-star, dog-friendly bed and breakfast that offers a blend of laid-back luxury and considered hospitality –  for both guests and their four-legged companions. Lovingly-restored by the Haythornthwaite family, the luxury Lake District hotel combines elegant interiors with a welcoming atmosphere.

The Haythornthwaite family share a passionate and sentimental love for Cartmel and the Lake District. Taking design inspiration from their years of travelling the world, the family has created a sanctuary where guests can experience the elegance of the past with the comforts of the present.

Aynsome is the second Lake District property in the Sedgwick Scott Collection, joining the exquisitely-restored Cark Manor, just three miles away. A commitment to excellence and detail is evident in every aspect of this exquisite Cartmel B&B, from stunning architecture to thoughtfully-curated interiors, which feature a number of items from the Haythornthwaite family’s private art and furniture portfolio.

As we are primarily an adult-oriented hotel, we kindly advise we do not encourage guests under 18.
